Kick Off and Star Gazing Party

You're invited to the Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky Kick Off and Star Gazing Party, being held at Los Senderos Ranch, 8409 N US Highway 281, Blanco, Texas 78606, on November 4, 2018, at 6 PM.

If you want to join us in helping to preserve the night sky here in Blanco County and the Texas Hill Country, then come out to our kick off party. We will have a very short talk about our aims and objectives and how you can join the Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky. You will then be able to sign up to become a member as well was explore volunteer opportunities to help with our efforts. There will be information about dark skies, demonstration of how to prevent light pollution, and a few night sky friendly products to help you get started.

After dark, there will be star gazing with a few astromers and their telescopes set up to view objects in the night sky.

Los Senderos Ranch is located in the center of Blanco County on US Highway 281, halfway between Blanco and Johnson City. Here is a map to the ranch.
